Spring brings such a fresh and vivified feeling to every day. The crown of spring to me is Easter. It is the celebration of the ultimate sacrifice made for us to be renewed souls every day. Jesus dying on the cross for our sins and raising from the grave 3 days later is why I am able to live life to fullest, vivify every corner of my life to reach the potential He has laid before me, and all while knowing the end is Heaven with Him. This celebration and holiday is a great reminder of Who’s we are and why are here, to spread His kingdom.
To celebrate this beautiful picture of love, a lot of us gather with our loved ones and either go to church that morning, have a great meal with friends and family, or both! To help show the respect to this holiday that is due, I got to hang out with my girl Monica from Monica Enkelmann Designs, and learn some of her tricks for an amazing table set up, as well as lay out a couple of outfit choices for you, whatever level of “fancy” you have going this weekend.
First off, the tables. Watching Monica put these together was so fun. It is so simple and easy and looks extremely beautiful as the final picture. Such a great way to show your guest that love we know from Jesus by hosting them with a grand table that doesn’t take but more than 10 minutes of your time. A couple of the tips that I tucked away from her were adding long stemmed greenery to the ends of the greenery she already had laid down on the table. Check out her insta-stories soon for a full tutorial to get a better understanding. Also, the layering of her dishes. She added texture and gives two tips on where to put the napkin. Either between the plates or folded on top. Both so classic and elegant but not extreme on the time it took to set up. Also, easily changed up to keep throughout the remainder of spring/summer!
Everyone has a different way of celebrating and I wanted to give 3 different outfits to hit every level of “fancy” that you could experience. These are all pieces from Old Navy, and bought on sale! They still have great sales going on online, but I would definitely check in store for this weekend. First up is a casual floral top with white shorts. Easy for that family lunch and for chasing your kids while they are egg hunting! This purse was a recommendation from another blogger and I absolutely love it! It will be a staple for me this summer.
Second and third are similar but have their own flare. The dress is more traditional and has brighter green floral. The romper is for my ladies who want to add floral but not all the color. Both with a classic nude heel and you can wear to church or to your grandmothers for the elegant lunch she has every year.
Don’t feel the need to splurge just because it’s a holiday. There are great outfits out there or within your closet that will pay the respect to this holiday that is due. I like to stick with the florals for spring, but you wear what makes you feel as cheerful as the spring weather outside. And don’t forget what this weekend is truly about. Love you peaches!
