We are almost half way there to meeting sister! Those words literally coat my heart in thankfulness. We were able to check in on her heart rate yesterday and she was at 148. We have a sonogram in two weeks, and I honestly can’t wait to see her.
There is so much anxiety that comes with a pregnancy after loss (more on our story of loss later) and the sonograms put everything at ease. This pregnancy has been different and the similar to Cason, all at the same time. Which is probably just a glimpse into parenting two. I haven’t felt near as nauseous with her, but incredibly tired. My appetite isn’t very strong and with Cason, I was starving!
I started out this pregnancy heavier than I would have liked so I’m trying to keep a close eye on it. I found a resource for what to eat in a day that will help with natural delivery. I’m not planning on that, not opposed to it either, but I am trying to do a VBAC (https://www.mayoclinic.org/tests-procedures/vbac/about/pac-20395249). So figured if it helped women’s bodies prepare for a natural delivery, then it couldn’t hurt to help for my VBAC. My OB said as long as sister doesn’t look as big as Cason was, we should be good to try! Cason was 8 lbs 9oz and a big ol’ noggin so that makes sense. Lol!
We did decide on a name as well! She’ll be Calynn Dee Rainey! (Pronounced Cal-Len) Sheltons middle name is Dee and it came from his dad so I love that we are passing it down to our daughter!
Any other peaches out there who had a VBAC? Share your stories and anything you felt helped make that successful!
I’ll be sure to share her sonogram probably on IG on a June 3rd!
Love love!
